Pull off the paved road into the rain forest to find this secluded and beautiful home on one (1) private acre
that is surrounded by a rain forest with towering Ohia trees and a private tropical fruit garden that consists of pineapples, bananas, papayas, avocados, lychee, lime, orange, and tangeloo trees. It may seem weird that I mention that it has paved roads but believe it or not there are numerous subdivisions that do not have paved roads in Hawaii. All this privacy, yet just 30 minutes from Hilo International Airport. Welcome to "Our Hawaii Vacation Home" a jewel in the jungle, that is just perfect for your vacation rental.

This large and private abode lies in the heart of tropical Leilani Estates, one of the more upscale and desirable communities in the area. The home sits on 1 acre of pristine native forest on which to relax, unwind and get away from it all. Smell the rain forest all around you. There are recently planted ginger, jasmine, distan, sunrise, firebird, and guyana flowering plants to gaze upon. Take a deep breath on the expansive lanai, lay back and let the birds welcome you with their songs.

The walls are an expansive nine (9) feet tall and each room has a ceiling fan and views of the surrounding rain forest. There are two huge bedrooms, both with a queen size bed and huge closets. (I do mean HUGE closets) There is an indoor bathroom & shower, a dining room and living room with a brand new 32" LCD HD TV which you can watch from either the couch or love seat. Cable TV, High-Speed Internet and phone service with unlimited long distance within the United States is all included. There is also fully stocked kitchen with granite counter tops, an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, blender, and a coffee maker for that world famous Kona coffee. A washer and dryer are even included for your use. This house has all the comforts of home. It comes complete with a few board games (Jenga, Pictionary, Cranium and Scrabble) for some relaxing at home nighttime entertainment. There is even an outdoor hot water shower. Which is a wonderful way to cleanse off the salt water after your swims in the nearby hot ponds and ocean.

The home is located on the island of Hawaii, also known as the Big Island. The Big Island is overlaid with scores of ancient lava flows and trimmed with dozens of beaches in a spectrum from white, to gray, to black, to amber, to green. Diversity best describes the geology and climate. An interesting fact is that 11 our of the worlds 13 climate zones are found here. Yes, you can even find snowcapped mountains on this magical island.

The Big Island is rich in history. Here is where King Kamehameha, who united all the islands under one leader, spent the last seven years of his life. Here is where the first missionaries landed and where the very first Christian church in Hawaii was constructed. This is also where Captain James Cook met his untimely death. A visit to this enchanted island will fill you with wonder and awe as you experience this place of history, beauty and extremes. You may even wish to call this place home one day as I do.
